The Face of Music in Iran
Very nice to meet: this is Arash Yousefian, and i can't stop listening to his song Ghalb, although i'm usually very selective in music. if you like his tie d/l here.
These guys are doing persian hip-hop which is very popular in Iran, at least as far as i can see in persian music websites. the quality is not super but still, for me it's very refreshing to hear some persian words on the beats.
I also think the sign with the hand is very cool. check 'em out, they called: Sarkesh, Shayan Yoyo and Nami E. d/l here.
Last week i have read that some of the "undergroud" hip hop makers got arrested and some of their studios shut down. i guess this islamic regime is a pain in the ass but i know that music is superior to any religous rule, and if you wanna make music you will make it no matter what rules this islamic regime will have.
